How it works.

BIX can be hosted in a cloud-based environment, such as Azure or AWS, or it can be installed for the customer on-premise while the database for BIX can be either Oracle or SQL Server.

Utilizing the industry standard language of XML to define customer-specific data needs,

BIX has been proven a reliable technology platform that is ready to satisfy the unique business requirements of the organization(s) to: transport, validate, report, transform and stage data for your unique use case.

Extensibility and Performance

BIX Administrators can create, modify, activate or inactivate interfaces online as needed without having to contact IT staff. If a new interface requires transformation or staging in the BIX database then an IT developer would utilize the tools available in the .Net framework to perform those customizations using the existing pre-built code templates.

Whenever new data elements are added to existing interfaces, there is a new-element auto-discovery feature where the existing pre-built code templates will add new elements providing the XML element is named the same as the database column name.

Any number of interface files can be uploaded into BIX simultaneously with the ability for the user to view a progress bar for each file.

There is no limit to the number of files that can be uploaded simultaneously into the BIX environment.

After the file(s) are successfully uploaded into the BIX environment then an email is sent to the user with a confirmation message for each of the file(s).

BIX Administration & Configuration

Multiple levels or roles of BIX administrators may be created when BIX users are defined allowing for custom menu access based upon the technical ability of users.

After an interface file is uploaded into BIX via the uploader website, a BIX administrator may view a list of all the interface files that were successfully transferred and validated by the BIX Custom Rules engine.

The administration role will also control which users are allowed to create or modify schema or interface types and BIX Custom Rules.

Only certain BIX users, as defined by each customer, are allowed to expand and create new interfaces. There is no limit to how many interfaces BIX allows nor is there a limit to how many rules can be defined and associated with each interface.

BIX Custom Rules are created and implemented online using a set of rule details.

Once all the rule details for a given rule are evaluated as true, then the rules engine passes along to the next rule in sequence for the interface.
